INVISIBLE LATE: A Midsummer Night In – Science Gallery – Sunday, June 21st – 6pm

Is the Science Gallery the greatest place in Dublin? Possibly. We certainly love these guys and they are always up to something special. Normally at this time of year they’d get a few bands in and have a bit of a party. But with doors (temporarily) closed right now, they’ve decided to move the party online. On Sunday they’ll be celebrating the longest day of the year with history, light play, audiovisual escapes and a behind-the-scenes look at the art and processes of INVISIBLE, our current exhibition.

Kicking off at 18.00 on 21 June, MIDSUMMER will be a virtual celebration of the year’s grandest stretch. Take a trip to view the setting summer solstice sun from a Neolithic cairn in Carrowkeel, find out hoe to build your own light box and get down and moody with an immersive audiovisual experience from No Place Like Drone.  As if that weren’t enough there’s an after-hours party .

EURO ’88: The First Time – RTE Player

You know when you hear some of your older teachers telling you that we used to be good at football. Here’s the proof. We were seven minutes away from getting to the semi-fnals of the European Championships in Germany in 1988 and this programme looks back at the tournament. TWo years later we got the last eight of the World Cup.

Guide to Irish Accents – YouTube

It’s quick and it’s pretty much on the money. It’s also a little controversial in places but it might help to figure out why you find some us easier to understand than others. Enjoy.
