Are you looking for some free stuff in Dublin this week? At Oscars International English School Dublin we ‘recommend culture’ and we let our students know what’s going on in the great city (aka town). This week we have a look at three events that are happening near Dublin City Centre and further afield over the next few days.
Do you fancy a movie and a glass of wine? Then all you have to do is turn up on Thursday evening to the IFI in Temple Bar and it shall be yours. The screening takes place as part of the Europa Cinema initiative which looks to promote European movies. This particular film, Cold War, is a Polish production and was nominated in the Best Foreign Film category at the Oscars. Worth going to see.
If you fancy get your groove on this weekend, then Nialler9’s gig at Lost Lane, off Grafton Street, might be the best place. It’s a mix of 80’s, dance and disco and should be colourful and good craic. It is free in before 11.30pm but be sure to get there early as he is a popular and well-known dj in the city.
This will not suit everyone but there might be one or two students in our class who might be interested in this free platform for the tech startup ecosystem to come together on a regular basis, enabling them to learn, connect and grow. If you are in business or want to be you can meet people, talk and find out what they are doing. Share ideas. You never know where it could go. You can find out more right here.
