Essential English PLUS

To focus on a particular aspect of you English and intensify your learning experience, you will also add five One-to-One lessons focused on chosen aspects of English. Needs Analysis will be run for the student prior course commencement to agree on content of One-to-One classes and the timetable.

Conversation Module Skills Module/ Elective
Improve your conversational English by practising speaking, listening, pronunciation and vocabulary. You will become more fluent and confident when speaking English.

Irish Culture & Life Module
This course introduces students to the rich and diverse elements that make Ireland such a unique and fascinating culture. From our ancient past, outstanding literary heritage and through to our famous sense of humour; students will get an insight in the artistic, musical and linguistic traditions of this beautiful country.

Pronunciation
This course focuses on students’ spoken production and the pronunciation, from individual sounds up to complex structures. Each week the students will work towards a complete presentation, increasing the length of time during which they will speak. The course is especially useful for students who are required to make speeches or presentations in an academic or business context.

Business Communication Skills Module/ Elective
This course acts as an introduction to the core language used in most business settings. Students are introduced to the differences between general and business English and cover functions specific to the business world such as telephone conversations, note-taking, writing emails, sending memos, takings with colleagues, and much more.

Exam Preparation Skills Module/ Elective
Learn the format of your chosen exam, with tricks and tips to give you the best chance of achieving your required result. Each day, you will look at a different test aspect and identify the areas which will help you achieve your ideal score. Delivered by specialist exam teachers and drawing from past exam papers.

You Can:
You can understand very basic, everyday phrases and may respond with short, simple answers. You can exchange basic personal information, if the other person speaks slowly and clearly.

Elementary A2
You Can:
You can interact in a simple way on concrete everyday subjects, such as
family information, shopping etc. You can communicate in routine tasks on familiar
subjects.

Pre Intermediate B1
You Can:
You can converse in a fairly limited way on your background, the immediate environment and on matters of direct need. You can express basic opinions and wishes.

Intermediate B1+
You Can:
You can understand and respond to the main points in a variety of everyday situations and also more abstract topics, but have a limited range of style and expression.
